The plan, with a long list of proposals for agriculture, could provide a boost to biofuels and promote carbon sequestration markets, but industry groups such the Fertilizer Institute warn against higher production costs.
Thursday, July 2, 2020 9:54AM CDT EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said his agency doesn't plan to release proposed Renewable Fuel Standard volumes before Friday's federal holiday. The ethanol industry has been anticipating the release of those volume levels. Wheeler held a call Wednesday mainly to tout environmental provisions in the USMCA deal.

Prices: September corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1 cent, and September KC wheat is down 1 cent.
Despite the potential for moderate end-of-the-week market shifts as traders prepare for the long holiday weekend, limited market direction is expected Thursday. Trade volume is expected to remain sluggish with some traders already out of the market for the week.
